Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage ongoing technical support for clients under Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and assist with IT infrastructure projects. This role involves configuring and maintaining hardware and software, resolving technical issues, managing network infrastructure, and ensuring high availability and performance of client IT systems. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with a service-oriented mindset to deliver timely, effective support to both external clients and internal teams.
IT Infrastructure Engineer – Client & AMC Support
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end IT Solutions & IT support for clients under AMC, including scheduled maintenance visits and remote troubleshooting.
- Set up and configure new hardware and software for clients and in-house users as per project or support needs.
- Maintain and monitor desktop systems, servers, printers, network equipment, and related peripherals.
- Ensure consistent data protection by setting up and managing backup systems for client and in-house environments.
Technical Troubleshooting
- Diagnose, resolve, and document hardware, software, and network issues across multiple platforms.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior support or vendors and follow through on resolution.
- Work with third-party vendors to identify and implement solutions for hardware or system-related issues.
Network & Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, network cabling, switches, and routers.
- Support installation and configuration of Windows and Mac systems to meet project or client-specific requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and security issues.
Project Support
- Assist in planning and executing IT infrastructure deployment projects, including hardware rollout, office moves, and system upgrades.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth execution of project deliverables.
User Training & Documentation
- Train end-users on the use of operating systems, applications, and network resources.
- Log support tickets and maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions in the Help Desk system.
- Identify trends in recurring issues and contribute to knowledge base development and process improvement.
Systems & Application Support
- Install and support standard office applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
- Perform software installations, upgrades, and patches as required.
- Provide initial assessment of support requests, determine urgency and impact, and prioritize accordingly.
Technical Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 2ā4 years of hands-on experience in IT support or infrastructure roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, basic Mac systems, LAN/WAN technologies, and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments, Microsoft Office applications, and networking equipment.
- Experience in supporting desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and related hardware.
- Ability to handle client-facing roles with professionalism and clear communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorās degree (Preferred)
- UAE Driving License is a plus (Preferred)
